Our Story


Del Basso Smallgoods is a proudly owned Western Australia and family operated Smallgoods Company that was established in 1957.

The Managing Director, Renato Del Basso migrated to Western Australia in 1955 from his home town Fornoli in Tuscany, bringing with him the passion and expertise necessary to manufacture traditional styles of continental smallgoods.

It wasn’t long before the Del Basso reputation for authentic Italian, high quality products, made its name in Perth. Del Basso Smallgoods now supplies an extensive range of products to a wide range of customers including restaurants, hotels, delis, supermarkets, cafes, caterers and local IGA’s.

Del Basso smallgoods has come a long way since it commenced business as a small butcher shop in Osborne Park. It now Employs over 50 people and operates a fleet of 10 refrigerated vehicles that service the greater metropolitan area daily.

We have the most stringent quality system in place that comply with standard,local,state and national meat safety standards.The quality system incorporates HACCP principals and we are HACCP certified.

Whilst the company retains its family values, it operates as a cooperate entity with the highest business standards of governance and a strategic vision for the future.
